General Terms

All courses and services offered at AZSG are competency based. This means merely showing up for a service or course is not sufficient to pass or obtain qualification. Participation is expected and required. Comprehension of the material is also required, in conjunction with a demonstration of proficiency.

Students are expected to arrive on time, prior to the start of the course to ensure check-in is completed. Students that arrive after the course has started, may not be permitted to join the class. No refunds will be given for students that arrive late, and are not permitted to the class. The decision to allow the student into the class is up to the instructor, and all decisions are final.

AZSG offers courses, programs, and material(s) for training and certification. It is entirely up to the student to complete the training within the established timeframe as required by the state licensing agency, and/or training program requirements. AZSG, it's staff, instructors and any other affiliates thereof, accept no responsibility for loss of licensure, registration, employment or fines issued resulting from failure of the student to complete the training within the timeframes specified.

AZSG will not notify or remind students of training deadlines. It is up to the individual to maintain personal and professional training records, credentials and schedule of training.

The course content is the sole creation of AZSG, which holds the copyright hereto. It is not official State-created training material. The state has provided for specific topics to be included in certain courses, such as security licensing and qualification training. However, these topics were only outlined, and specific content was created entirely by AZSG to meet these requirements, and have been accepted by the state for qualified training courses.

Course Terms

The instructor(s) reserve the right to refuse admittance or continuation of a student to/in a course for any reason, and that decision is final.

Students will adhere to and comply with all instructions provided by AZSG training instructors. Failure to do so will result in removal from the course, and forfeiture of all course fees paid.

Grossly negligent violations of instructions, safety protocols and behaviors that endanger the student or others will receive no warning, and result in immediate action by AZSG staff to ensure the safety of all persons involved.

Online training that requires any paperwork will be sent to the student within 3 business days to the student's email address on file with our website. This does not include weekends or holidays.

Paperwork generated for students taking online or ground training courses will be pre-completed, when and where applicable, using information in the student's account on our website only. If this information is not correct, a re-generation fee may be applied.

Firearms Related Courses

Firearms related training and courses carry special weight in terms of safety compliance.

The 5 Firearms Safety Rules shall be followed and adhered to by all persons attending a firearms related training course.

Failure to comply with the rules, as well as any written or verbal instructions provided by an AZSG instructor shall result in the immediate dismissal of the student from the course, and that student shall forfeit all course fees paid.

5 Firearms Safety Rules

  1. Treat every weapon as if it were loaded
  2. Never point the weapon at anything you don't intend to shoot
  3. Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until ready to fire
  4. Know your target and what is beyond
  5. maintain control of your firearm at all times

Prices, Costs and Fee Related Terms

The cost of services do not include any costs for licenses, or any other fees owed by a student to another entity. For example: guard card licensing course fees do not include the licensing fee required to obtain the guard card from AZ DPS.

All sales are considered final. AZSG does not issue refunds except under exigent circumstances at the sole discretion of the cadre. For example, purchasing an online course from us, only to abandon it and complete the course from another provider is not a valid circumstance, and any fees will not be refunded. Any refunds issued are considered a one-time or one-off exception to this policy, and do not constitute a variation of this policy.

In regards to re-qualification on the range as a result of a failure, students may be offered a chance to re-qualify, at the sole discretion of the course instructor. Should re-qualification be granted, the student will be required to re-register online with the next available firearms related course, and use the instructor-provided code for registration. The instructor-provided code will grant a discount on the course fee. Failure to re-register after being granted the opportunity, will result in non-admittance to the course. A subsequent second failure to qualify will result in the student being required to re-register for the next course at full price.

Missed Courses, Rescheduling

Students that fail to show for class forfeit all course costs and fees paid. To attend another course, the student may do so by registering for a new course, at full cost.

Any student needing to rechedule a course must do so no less than 48 hours in advance of the course date. Requests within that 48 hour window are now accepted. To reschedule, the student must contact AZSG and request rescheduling. Without contact, the student may opt to register for another course at full cost.

A reschedule request is granted at the sole discretion of the instructor. All decisions are final.

Online Training

Students enrolled in online training must complete all requirements of the specific course enrolled in. Failure to complete the training course within the time given will result in a failed status, and be disenrolled.

Those that fail any course, may at full cost, re-enroll in the course.

Most courses require a 70% or better on all quiz and exam portions. A failure in one section may result in failure of the entire course.

Paperwork will be sent to the email address on file from the student's account. Likewise, minimal information will be supplied on the paperwork, and the student's provile must be completed in order to facilitate this. If any information is missing or incorrect from the profile, AZSG may charge a re-print fee for the paperwork.

It is the student's responsibilitiy to ensure all profile information is correct and valid. If paperwork is sent to the student with incorrect information, AZSG will require the student to send a copy of a valid government issued photo I.D. card to verify.
